We woke up in scary Hostel 639 pretty early today. The sleepsacks (sheets that help keep out bedbugs) were great! We changed and ate our breakfast (white bread and jam, cornflakes, and orange juice), then set off on our next adventure! I didn't know how to get to the British Museum, so I made and educated guess to get us started. We stoped in a Borders so Annie could look for another book, so I took the opportunity to go to the travel section to find out where we needed to go. Turns out, we were only three stops away from where we needed to be! We put our bags in storage at the museum and were on our way! That museum is absolutely ENORMOUS!! We spent about 3+ hours there and didn't even get close to covering everything. My favorite parts were the Egyptian mummies and the Greek and Roman sculptures. After the museum, I think we all want to read up on some ancient world history! After that busy day, we headed over to a park and rested for awhile. Logan and Annie played with pigeons (a common theme in our travels thusfar) and we were fortunate enough to see many couples getting a good makeout session in. As thrilling as that was, we decided to head over to the station, but not before we stopped at a McDonalds so Logan could try a Cadbury Egg McFlurry! We utilised the free Wi-Fi and then headed to the station. I didn't really know how the whole train thing went here, so I was a bit surprised to find that we are supposed to check in 30 minutes before departure when travelling on the Eurostar. We had to hurry a bit, but we managed to make our train just fine. Funny story though, Annie was using her passport to press a flower she had found and the passport inspector gave her quite a look. :) We took the train for about 2.5 hours and under the water. It really just seems like you are going through a really long tunnel and your ears are popping. It was fun though. The French countryside is so beautiful, and it stays light so long here that we were actually able to enjoy the view! We got in and got reservations for our train to Switzerland at...8 a.m. That'll be an early start! We had a good time trying to figure out the streets of Paris and found our hostel. Our room is much nicer here and it has a beday! Sweet. Next, we set off in search of Le Tour D'Eiffel. Quite a bit later, we arrived. If nothing else, we will certainly be burning calories on this trip. We climbed up the stairs (all 668 of them) and saw the view. Then, we walked down and got to see the flashing lights right at midnight. Next, we headed back to the hostel. And we got pretty lost. But we found our way eventually. This was quite the day, but lots of fun as well! I'd better get some rest. Au revoir!

  1. Shocking to hear that Annie would use her passport as a flower pressing factory. That's way out of character! ;0)
