June 25, 2009

Today was fairly uneventful. We slept in and got ready. We ate some really good paninis for breakfast. They had eggplant, zucchini, and mozzarella on them! Yum! The nice receptionist let us use the wireless internet out in the garden for a couple hours. Then, we headed over to the train station. We still had a bit of time and didn't want to carry our stuff everywhere, so we just sat and read for a while. Annie and I had our last gelato :(. Logan and Annie also played with the pigeons a bit. Soon, we got on our train. On this one, we got to sit in a room with a nice 3 person Russian family. The little boy had a sweet rattail and he asked us our names in English. His mom then told us, "He hasn't learned his English yet." It is amazing how many people understand and speak English in Europe. I wish we could learn other languages starting at a younger age. I would be so much better at French if I had started in elementary school! Logan made good friends with that boy by playing that game where you pretend to be separating your finger. It was real funny. Anyways, we only had to switch once in Villach, and we arrived late in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Our hostel is fairly close. It is pretty shady, but we each have luggage lockers and there is a kitchen. I am feeling a bit under the weather, so I think we will sleep in tomorrow! :)
